Folkfika - A Creative Community :

The name Folkfika has its roots in two Swedish traditions:

“Folk” is inspired by the late 19th & early 20th-century “folkhem” movement - a vision of equality, community, & mutual support among people.

“Fika” comes from the Swedish cultural tradition that emerged in the early 1900s, particularly within the working class. It was during fika breaks - moments of rest & socialising - that stories were shared & histories came to life.

From these two worlds of ideas, Folkfika was born - a company where collective storytelling is at the heart.

Welcome home, to Folkfika.
